Adams Golf appoints Simon Homer to head European Business

Adams Golf, the maker of the #1 Hybrids on the PGA Tour, announces the appointment of Simon Homer as the Head of Adams Golf Europe.

Simon will be responsible and the driving force for creating a standalone brand identity across Europe for Adams. Simon will be supported by Philip Morley, who will concentrate on developing a structure to grow the Adams business across continental Europe.

Simon has been a key figure in the UK and European golf industry for many years, serving most of his tenure as Sales and Marketing Director of PowaKaddy International. With a broad skill set and a strong ability in the leadership of sales, customer focused teams and product marketing; Simon will be a great asset to the Adams business.

Commenting on his appointment Simon said: “I’m delighted to be joining Adams Golf at such an exciting time. I’m looking forward to establishing a European base for the brand and increasing the awareness and distribution of our products thus replicating the success Adams Golf has enjoyed in the US.”.

While Adams Golf Europe is a part of the adidas Group of companies, it will be managed independently from the TaylorMade-adidas Golf business with its own Customer Service, Field Sales and Marketing functions all housed in its new European headquarters in Basingstoke, which are due to open early 2013.
