Hole19, the company that has developed a multifunctional golf GPS app boasting a community of over 2 million golfers, has reported more than 3.2 million rounds of golf logged on the app between May and August 2020 – a record number for Hole19.

This data represents a 49% increase versus the previous year and is indicative of a global surge in golf participation post COVID-19 lockdown measures.

The company has seen golfers from over 200 countries using the app on a monthly basis and an average of 60,000 new golfers registering on the platform each month organically, with little or no marketing spend.

Hole19 CEO Anthony Douglas said: “This recent growth and engagement is a testament to our approach in developing a digital product that golfers love to use, without the need to spend millions on marketing. We’ve been patient and have been listening to golfers’ needs. The numbers we are seeing are a function of all the hard work we put in over the years.”

Douglas continued “We’ve been monitoring the data closely over the past months to better understand how this growth can also be leveraged to help stakeholders in the golf industry going forward. We are working with a select group of brands & partners that want to reach the digital consumer and modern golfer.”

Hole19 now lets advertisers maximise their digital reach through the platform

With customers such as Callaway, Amstel Beer, American Express and others on board, Hole19 now offers brands that are looking to communicate to a digital golf audience, a tailored solution to reach golfers in multiple geographies with a single partner.
