PING Apparel has announced the re-signing of the 2010 Open Champion, Louis Oosthuizen as well as several new Apparel Ambassadors, including 2015 European Solheim Cup captain Carin Koch.
Also continuing as ambassadors for the company’s apparel collections are the two-time Major Champion, Angel Cabrera and 2016 South African Open winner, Brandon Stone. Joining Koch as new Apparel Ambassadors in 2016 are Rhys Davies and Jimmy Mullen who will both wear PING apparel on tour.
Oosthuizen, who recently signed a multi-year agreement to continue playing PING golf equipment, will wear the brand’s new Spring/Summer 2016 men’s collection when competing and during all ambassadorial duties.
Commenting on the announcement, Oosthuizen said: “PING leads the way in golf club innovation and performance and their apparel line is no different. I need my clothing to perform whatever the conditions. The 2016 collection offers great styling and comfort, whether you’re on or off the course, and allows me to concentrate solely on playing my best golf.”
Louis will be wearing the Spring/Summer 2016 range which, for the first time, will incorporate COOLMAX® ALL SEASON technology, as well as other high performance fabrics.
Similarly, long-term Swedish staff player Koch, who has utilised PING equipment on the Ladies’ European and LPGA Tours for over 20 years, will wear the new Spring/Summer 2016 ladies’ collection.
Underlining her reaffirmed relationship, Koch said: “I’m extremely proud to have such a longstanding association with PING. Having played PING equipment from early in my career, I’m excited to now wear the apparel, which delivers excellent on-course performance and comfort but, importantly for the lady golfer, also a great look and style.”
Engineered to play through the brand’s Sensor platform, the new Spring/Summer 2016 collections showcase the craftsmanship and unrivalled attention to detail associated with the PING brand, while the carefully selected performance driven fabrics deliver long lasting comfort for golfers, both on and off the course.
