For most of our readers this weekend’s advancing of the clocks by one hour marks the end of winter and the beginning of summer time. In truth many areas have already been experiencing warmer than usual temperatures and less rainfall than normal.
Milder weather caused an increase in rounds played in January and February, says the UK Golf Course Owners Association, and the start of The Masters, which for many marks the beginning of a new golfing season, is only a few days away.
It is therefore appropriate that so many stories in our Newsletter this week are positive, encouraging and, yes, even optimistic.
